Our Story

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Muskoka, Bracebridge Golf Club has been a cornerstone of the community for decades. Our story begins with a vision to create a premier golfing destination that celebrates the natural beauty of Ontario's cottage country.

On August 31, 1966, a key chapter unfolded when Joseph S. Pratt and Mary Elva Pratt of Toronto acquired land in the Township of Macaulay, District of Muskoka, from The Royal Bank of Canada. The official deed of land was registered on November 4, 1966, marking the beginning of the Pratt family's stewardship.

Shortly thereafter, in 1967, the Pratt family—led by Allan and Nancy Pratt—built the original 9-hole course. From those early days, the family has been committed to providing an exceptional golfing experience while preserving the natural landscape that makes Muskoka so special.

Located at 1011 Bonnie Lake Road, just east of Highway 11 on Highway 117, the course winds through rolling hills, and mature trees. Each hole offers its own unique challenge, keeping golfers coming back season after season.

Today, Bracebridge Golf Club stands as a testament to family legacy, community spirit, and a passion for the game, all rooted in the land that was lovingly acquired and developed over half a century ago.
